Earlier this month, the new HVA website went live with a whole new look and feel, one much more in line with our preservationist and celebratory mission. Beginning with the homepage, visitors will be able to view the latest HVA and National Historic Vehicle Register news, various event photographs and a host of cataloged articles, press releases and outside media coverage.

In addition to the HVA-specific content, our THIS CAR MATTERS videos and stories have been given an overhaul. Here, you can view vehicles by decade, beginning with the 1900s and running through the 1980s. Visitors can also share their own stories and photos that will then appear in the carousel of member-submitted photographs.

Other features include a newsroom with scores of articles, revised FIVA application (with a more efficient online submission process), awards and events coverage, and a full rundown of each vehicle currently on the National Historic Vehicle Register.

On a technical note, visitors will need to use either Google Chrome (click here to find out more and to download) or the latest version of Safari (click here) in order to have all elements of the site to work. Internet Explorer users will want to make sure they are using Internet Explorer 10 or above to ensure the site loads properly.
