The National Automotive Heritage Award is presented by the Historic Vehicle Association (HVA) in recognition of a vehicle’s significance as part of our National Automotive Heritage and celebrates vehicles that are historically important in our past. The award is part of the HVA’s National Historic Vehicle Register to recognize and document vehicles important in automotive or American history. Vehicles are eligible based on local, state or national historic significance. The HVA may choose to recognize a vehicle with well-known national history or alternatively, a vehicle with important state or local history that may not be broadly known or appreciated.
