April 2015 Events Recap

Despite lingering cold and snow, spring somewhat begrudgingly began to make an appearance as March gave way to April. While not quite as hectic as the summer months, springtime can often prove just as rewarding when it comes to the great automobiles that make their way out of winter hibernation and back on the road for a handful of car shows across the country.

Out in sunny southern California, this year’s La Jolla Concours d’Elegance featured a rich slate of stellar vehicles for car enthusiasts to drool over. Among those in attendance were this 1966 Lamborghini 2+2 Coupe owned by Perry and Judith Mansfield, which took home the THIS CAR MATTERS award.

Not to be outdone, this 1967 Rolls Royce Phantom V Landaulet State Limousine owned by John Ellison, Jr. of the Columet Collection was awarded the HVA Preservation Award.

Make Some Memories in 2015

A relatively light month, events-wise, if April’s offerings are any indication of the year to come, it’s going to be one for the ages in terms of the great cars on display. Be sure to get out there and enjoy everything from your local cruise-ins to the country’s biggest car shows. Regardless of the size and level of prestige, there’s bound to be a number of hidden gems to found, each one a celebration of our automotive heritage.
