There are no ethanol-free gas stations shown within 2 hours of me. What can I do to protect my 1920 Chevy and 1966 Corvair turbo?

Have read all I can find on E10 and E15 bad bad and more bad... Perhaps since this is so close to you we should put it and stabilizer in tanks of OB and Cars. Not will eventually make them unusable...

I feel it is a joke that we are forced to put a product in our snowmobiles, dirt bikes, cars that is not proven to help in anyway

  7. Todd Mckinney, TX

I can't believe there is no ethanol free gas here! Any other resources to confirm?

Ethanol has turned the fuel lines on my 1993 HD Electra glide into a gummy, gooey, mess. It has also dissovled the o-rings, and rubber gaskets in the carburator. The main fuel line that holds the in tank fuel pump in place, and supplies fuel to the carb on my older Chevy Truck, completely failed due to ethanol in the gas. I had to remove the fuel tank, and replace the fuelpump and all of the rubber fuel lines, and rebuild the throttle body.I had to remove pieces of gummy fuel hose from all fuel lines and from the fuel injectors. Not fun, or cheap! Not to mention what it has done to my chain saw, and weed eater! Luckly there is a place in town to buy Gas without ethanol! One place! How can our law makers do this to us? Why is it the the American public doesn't get to vote on things that will affect our lives, like Ethanol in Gasoline? I can't afford to buy a new Harley, or Vehicle after Ethanol ruins them. What a bunch of crap!

I have had my children bring real fuel down when the visit. it only 10 gal at a time but it real...... the sad thing is that e fuel is in the long run costing more. If you keep your care maintained it pollution, mileage and performance is better. Give me old steel any time.

My ultralight and three other people that I know of have had emergency landing due to engine problems due to the float needle seat and their ultralight aircraft that all use the same carburetors same Motors as my plane. It's strange the very same day that I had my engine out problem on climb out at 300 feet AGL. I talk to the gas station owner to find out what percentage of alcohol was in the gas as it wasn't labeled on the pump that it contained MTBE but upon his showing me the MSDS it did not have MTBE in the gas but it had 10% ethanol in the 91 octane fuel I bought it anyways because I had no other choice aviation 100 low lead causes fowling.
