I've done some checking and talked to the technical staff with suppliers of fuel here, of the 3 major companies I've checked:
1. Petro Canada uses an ethanol blend in all their fuels
2. Esso (Exxon) does not as a rule use ethanol IN ALBERTA and pumps are supposed to be marked if they do.They do state on their website that British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario all sell ethanol blends AT SELECTED LOCATIONS but again the pumps are supposed to be labelled if a blend is in the pump.
3. Shell has taken the most intelligent road, both their Bronze (10%) and Silver (5%) have ethanol but their premium blend (91 octane) does not. The tech I talked to said they have had excellent feedback from historic car and older car owners and have no intention of changing this.
Hopes this helps any classic car travellers or local owners!

I would dearly love to eliminate the possibility of ethanol polluting the fuel system on my 1965 Ford Thunderbird Special Landau any further than it already has, so I thank you for providing this resource for those of us seeking PURE gasoline for our vehicles... particularly the Classics that are not built with alcohol fuel resistant parts able to cope with alcohol in our fuel without damage.
Again, my thanks for providing this resource, but I find it very difficult to locate a local source of supply, particularly amongst the many pointers in large metropolitan areas (mine would be Seattle, WA) and I was wondering if you (or any reader of this comment) might be able to provide a link to a "Zip Code centric" source of information on locations of local providers (close to a certain Zip Code)
Thanks in advance for any information you may be able to provide!
I have a 36 plymouth and a 31buick. Where can i get straight gasoline, non-reformulated?
