FIVA Inspections at Hershey

September 22, 2011

The process is easy. So don’t miss out. On October 6 and 7 the Historic Vehicle Association will be on hand to inspect vehicles for a FIVA ID Card during the AACA Hershey Fall Regional Meet. Make an appointment to have your car scrutineered today!

FIVA ID cards provide a simple guide to a vehicle’s history, authenticity and specification and are required when entering your vehicle at some of the world’s leading concours, including the Mille Miglia, Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and the Peking-to-Paris Motor Challenge. Click here for a complete list of FIVA-sanctioned events for which the ID card is required.

Quick and Easy

The FIVA inspection involves a physical confirmation of vehicle configuration and condition, as well as chassis, engine and body serial numbers. The procedure can typically be completed within 30 minutes and also includes follow-up by the inspector to examine and review relevant vehicle documentation.

A standard fee of $250 is charged, and normally your official identification card will be issued within 60 days. FIVA ID cards remain valid for 10 years. The HVA can only issue FIVA ID Cards for vehicles registered or based in the United States and Canada.

Inspection appointments are available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 6 and Friday, October 7. FIVA ID card applications must be completed well in advance of your appointment. The info is fair and typically used as a suggestion for the whole vehicle industry since it is acquired from a gamut of sources made up of wholesale auctions, independent dealers, franchised dealers, original clobber makers, rental and fleet agencies, and private-party transactions. All this info, with other things like historic trends, current commercial conditions, industry developments, seasonality, and location are mixed and researched to arrive at the final figures.
