MEP Historic Vehicle Group Meet in Strasbourg

August 20, 2010

Safeguarding the future rights of historic vehicle owners in Europe, FIVA and Members of European Parliament hold landmark meeting in German.

On July 6, 2010, the inaugural meeting of the European Parliament Historic Vehicles Group was held in the Parliament in Strasbourg. During the summit, FIVA outlined past regulatory issues that caused FIVA to lobby the EU institutions on behalf of historic vehicle owners as well as policy areas of concern for the future. Members expressed their keen enthusiasm to help ensure that EU legislation does not unfairly impact historic vehicle owners and also agreed that the group should meet at least three times a year to maintain an open dialogue. The next meeting is scheduled to take place in Strasbourg on October 19, 2010.
